On top of the money and time we spend on our beauty regimen every single day, there are also those designated weekends when we go full out on the beautifying procedures with masks, treatments and so on. Those weekends, however, have a couple of significant downsides – spending even more money on beauty products and treating your face to a chemical concoction that could cause allergic reactions, irritation, etc. Why not save yourself the cons and go only for the pros by simply making the masks yourself!?

For Dry Skin

Dry skin needs deep moisturising to look healthy, supple and vibrant. Here are 3 masks you can easily make with things you have on the shelves:

Banana and Yogurt

Ingredients:
2 bananas
1 tbsp honey
1/2 cup yogurt

Instructions:
No special skills required – just put everything in the blender and mix it until it all becomes a smooth paste. Then just apply it all over your face and leave it for about 20 minutes. Then rinse your face with warm water and you are done.

Eggs and Honey

Ingredients:
1 egg white
1 tsp honey
1 tsp sunflower oil

Instructions:
Beat the egg white thoroughly until it thickens – as if you were making a cake. Then add the honey and sunflower oil and mix well until it is all smooth. Apply the paste on your face and leave it on for about 15 minutes. Rinse your face with warm water. That is it.

Cucumber and Aloe Vera

Ingredients:
1 cucumber
2 tbsp aloe vera

Instructions:
This mask takes a tiny bit more time. You need to peel the cucumber and remove all its seeds. Then chop it into little pieces and put it in the blender with the aloe vera. Mix thoroughly until you get a smooth paste, then apply it to your face. Leave this mask on for a whole half an hour and then rinse it with cold water.

For Oily Skin

Oily skin also needs moisturising, but it has to be gentle and somehow remove the excess oil from your face. It is a feat sounding rather difficult, but these simple masks can handle it:

Banana and Lemon

Ingredients:
3 tbsp banana
1 tsp honey
4-5 drops lemon juice

Instructions:
Nothing difficult here – put everything in the blender and mix it thoroughly. When it is a smooth paste, apply it to your face, but be careful to avoid the areas around your eyes. Leave it on for about 20 minutes and then rinse with cool water.

Apple and Spices

Ingredients:
1 apple
1/2 tsp rosemary
1/2 tsp sage
4-5 drops lemon juice

Instructions:
Boil the apple slightly, until it becomes soft. Then remove the seeds and put it in a blender along with everything else. Mix thoroughly until you get a smooth paste and apply it on your face. Leave it on for about 20 minutes and then rinse with lukewarm water.

Strawberries and Yogurt

Ingredients:
8 strawberries
1 egg white
1 tsp yougurt
4-5 drops lemon juice

Instructions:
Beat the egg white until it thickens and mash the strawberries separately. Then put everything together and mix it until becomes a smooth paste. Apply it on your face and leave it on for about 15 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water.

As you can see, you can have a healthy, organic face mask on your face in just a few minutes and without spending a fortune. You can even grab a spoon and eat the leftovers in most cases!
