The study highlighted that the costs of supporting your favourite Rugby League team can vary wildly, even between teams in the same league.

The above table reveals the difference between Super League teams. If you are a supporter of Huddersfield Giants, their cheapest 2017 standard adult season ticket will set you back £305, whereas supporters of Salford Red Devils can expect to pay just £199.

Early Bird and Renewal Discounts

Although Huddersfield Giants do appear to be much less affordable than any other team, that is not the whole story. The club offered an early bird discount on their standard season ticket, which was available until the 24th December. This allowed fans to purchase their season ticket for just £99, which is a saving of £206 on their cheapest standard adult ticket. If fans purchased their ticket at this rate, then their club would have been the most affordable in the Super League.
