Christmas is coming and each year we are stuck, trying desperately to come up with something that is going to please, surprise and delight the recipient. And each year we end up handing over random, make-do efforts, and cringing as they tear of the wrapper with a look of horror, disgust and dismay on their faces.
OK it’s maybe not quite that bad, but finding something that really shows you have put in some effort and makes someone smile is not all that easy, on that point, we are all agreed.
All Hail the Personalised Gift.
The great thing about the personalised gift is that it feels more personal. It’s not just a mass marketed product that everyone owns. Although it may well be mass marketed, that little touch that you can add to make it your own is the part of the gift that will really win the recipient over.
Gifts for Babies and Children
Personalised gifts work well for children and babies. A blanket featuring the babies name, letters for the nursery door, a personalised book that features the child’s name and main habits are all gorgeous gifts that feel unique and special.
Personalised Gifts for Adults
For adults, one way to personalise a gift is to have it engraved. Of course, beautiful jewellery inscribed with a personal message can be the recipe for a gift that is treasured for years to come.
Alternatively, you could go for something more fun, like personalised chocolates. My M&M’s are a great way to give a personal message to a loved one. People have even been known to propose to their future spouse using personalised M&M’s – that’s how special they can be. They can be printed with text, a selection of clip art or even your own image, so you can have lots of fun with this gift – the only limit is your creativity.
Another winner in the personalised gift awards is the photo gift. By that, I mean photo mugs, photo books, t-shirts featuring your own photos, and a whole host of other items that you can get your pics printed on – pens, notebooks – and the list goes on and on.
