Tea Box is a food and drinks company founded on 20th April 2012. They deliver only the freshest, most delicious teas from Nepal and Indian estates in Darjeeling, Assam and the Nilgiris. The traditional tea takes a long route, usually of 6-8 months from picking in the garden to the consumers. The supply chain involves: picking tea from the garden, its auctioned, local exporter, oversees importer, wholesaler, retailer and consumer. They have eliminated the middlemen in the supply chain, effectively reducing it from five stages to two i.e. from the garden to the consumer in about one week. Tea much like vegetables and fruits goes stale with time. They lose flavour aroma and become flat. Fresh tea, on the other hand, is very delicious, full of flavour and offer a sublime experience. Tea box has gone to great lengths to ensure their customers enjoys tea the way they should. They set up India’s first tea cold storage, where their tea is kept in a temperature controlled environment and packaged in opaque vacuumed packs, sealing the freshness of the tea during shipment.
