The ancient Chinese, Indians and Babylonians developed some of the first cities on Earth, and you can travel back in time by following the Silk Road and Mekong River. You can also visit cutting-edge cities such as Tokyo and Singapore, where robots and video games are everywhere.
When to visit Asia? Timing your visit is important, as climate and season vary so widely in different parts of the continent. Visiting Southeast Asia in March to May will avoid the monsoon season, and a trip to Central Asia during July to October will avoid the harsh winters and hot summers. Similarly, if you're looking for an exotic location, the best time to visit India is October to December. But you should also keep in mind that you'll need to prepare for rainy days in some parts of the continent.
After seeing one country, you'll likely want to explore many others. Some of the most famous sites in Asia include the Angkor Wat temple in Cambodia, the Taj Mahal in India, and Moscow's Red Square.
