Little Muslim Books is an educational series aimed at young children. These books teach five compulsory prayers in Arabic and are designed with appealing illustrations to engage children. They also lay the groundwork for a more detailed explanation of each prayer. The illustrations show the names of each prayer in Arabic, as well as the times that each prayer takes place. While they are not a perfect match for children who aren't yet able to read yet, they're a great place to start.
The founder of Little Muslim Books is Shabeena Rehman, a former market research consultant with an MSc in social research and evaluation. Before starting her own company, Shabeena had already worked in various sectors, including the advertising industry, with high-profile brands, as well as consumer opinion. In addition to her work with Little Muslim Books, she has two small children. She wanted to find an engaging way to teach her children about Islam without having to be serious about it.
