Stuart Dawson, founder of Dry Drinker, was inspired to start his business after discovering the dearth of quality alcohol-free beer in the UK. He wanted to make non-alcoholic beer accessible to everyone, and so he quit his job to do just that. Stuart is now a proud father of two and is proud to offer a wide selection of alcohol-free beverages to people across Europe.
Earlier this year, Dry Drinker announced its plan to expand into wholesale, following the success of its consumer-facing website. The new venture, which is modelled after an old-fashioned off-licence, will offer a variety of alcohol-free beverages to consumers. The company has already seen high growth over the past two years, and the expansion into wholesale is the next logical step. Stuart Elkington says the company is not only trying to cater to abstainers, but also to promote the idea of mindful drinking.
In a cocktail, a dry drink mixer is an ingredient that does not contain sugar, or contains only a trace amount of sugar. This ingredient provides flavour and effervescence, and can make the difference between an average drink and an excellent one. Although dry drinks usually do not contain sugar, tonic water and ginger ale are exceptions. Other drink mixers are flavourful additions, and can make a cocktail taste more enjoyable.
