Calor.co.uk is the home of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). The company has been in operation since 1935. It is one of the largest suppliers of LPG in the UK, servicing over four million homes. It supplies gas to homes for cooking and heating and primarily services rural areas. Although it began as a cooking gas company, Calor has since expanded to supply other types of gas. The company now sells bottled and bulk LPG and offers energy solutions for heating, cooking, and other uses.
In addition to providing gas in bulk tanks, Calor also supplies gas in smaller gas cylinders. Its largest cylinder weighs 47 kilograms and is available in packs of four. One pair can supply central heating systems up to 60kW, as well as fires and cookers. The system can be set up to switch supplies automatically when one pair runs out. This saves both gas and money, and Calor's mission has helped it become one of the largest gas companies in the UK.
