Although our main focus for this blog is usually shopping and discounts, when we look back at the year, one of the main things that has left its mark is the sheer number of iconic celebrities that we seem to have lost. At the very start of the year, the world was rocked by the sad news that David Bowie had died, and from that point forward, it seemed relentless. Every few weeks, another of our favourite icons passed away, leaving us wondering who was going to be next in the awful, tragic list. In July, we lost Prince, and on Christmas day, George Michael, and others that we lost included Carrie Fisher, Alan Rickman, Rick Parfitt, Gene Wilder and Caroline Aherne. <\/p>\n

We have put this timeline together to pay tribute to just some of the celebrities that 2016 took away from us. Thankfully, their legacy will live on through their work, so although they are gone, they will definitely not be forgotten. <\/p>\n

Let us hope that 2017 is not such a shocking and tragic year for celebrity deaths, and that the ones who died in 2016 will rest in peace. <\/p>\n
