Store's Description
Jack Wolfskin was founded in Frankfurt, Germany in 1981 by Ulrich Dausien. The company separated from Sine in 1991 and was acquired by Johnson Outdoors. From the initial own brand store in Frankfurt, the company expanded to more than 600 stores in over 40 countries. The brand has earned a good reputation and is known throughout Europe and Asia. Its products are high-quality outdoor clothing and equipment, including jackets, shoes, and rucksacks. The company also sells trousers and shorts, and provides accessories for sports and fitness.
The company has recently completed a financial restructuring to reduce its debt by 225 million euros. The debt will be restructured so that it is more affordable. This includes a new temporary loan of 25 million euros, and the current senior creditors will be the new owners of the company. They will own a stake in the company via a Luxembourg-based holding company. The brand will also sell equipment and tents.
